Early Child Program
The Early Childhood Program at Dutchess Community College provides a career lattice for individuals seeking to work with young children as a teacher in a nursery school, head of group in a child care center, public school teacher for early elementary grades or director of a child care center.

If you are interested in a career with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 8 years, review information on one or more of these programs for specific details and requirements. Please call the Early Childhood Program Chair for further information (431-8348) or examine the Next Procedure for information on registration or admission. Note: Employees in regulated child care settings can use Educational Incentive Program monies toward tuition costs for any early childhood program once they are matriculated in any of the Early Childhood programs. It is important to apply for the EIP monies at least 4 weeks prior to the start of classes. The SUNY EIP information number is 1-800-295-9616. Call for an application.
